Cabbage is one of the most popular vegetables in Russia. From cabbage you can cook a lot of different dishes. Soups are cooked from cabbage, stewed, added to salad and so on. But sooner or later all these dishes are bored and I want something new and unusual. We will prepare a delicious dish of cabbage - schnitzel with ham and cheese.

  • - leaves of cabbage 8 pcs.

  • - ham and cheese in 8 slices

  • - tomatoes 4 pcs.

  • - breadcrumbs 100 g

  • - vegetable oil 1/2 cup

  • - garlic 2 cloves

  • - ground black pepper

  • - salt to taste

Boil cabbage leaves in salted water. Cook until leaves are soft. Put the cooked leaves on the table. Thickenings beat off with a hammer.

Sauté the ham. Put a slice of cheese and ham on each cabbage leaf. Then pepper and fold the envelopes.

Beat eggs with 50 g of water. Moisten the envelopes in the egg. Then bread and fry in a piece of butter until golden brown.

Chop the garlic. Cut the tomatoes into circles. Sauté the tomatoes with the garlic in the remaining oil.

When serving schnitzel, garnish with cooked tomatoes. Also, cabbage schnitzel can be served with a fresh salad of tomatoes and cucumbers. Garnish with chopped herbs.
