Soon the New Year and we are slowly starting to think about what to cook on the holiday table. On New Year's Eve, I start cooking a turkey stuffed with prunes, apples and walnuts. I decorate the finished dish with lemon, herbs and decorative cones. Beautiful, tasty and festive.

You will need

  • - 1 medium-sized turkey;

  • - some salt;

  • - a little black pepper;

  • - 1 glass of sour cream;

  • - 50 g of butter;

  • - 50 g of mayonnaise.
  • For filling:

  • - 1 glass of rice;

  • - 500 g of prunes;

  • - 500 g of walnuts;

  • - 500 g of apples.
  • For baking:

  • - 75 g of vegetable oil.

Instruction manual

1

We wash the turkey, if there are feathers left on the carcass, then we can safely remove them.

2

Put the prunes in a bowl, pour warm water and leave for ten minutes. Then we drain the water, rinse and dry.

3

Wash the apples, peel, remove the core.

4

Rice washed from impurities.

5

Turn the prunes, walnuts and peeled apples in a meat grinder. Mix the filling with rice.

6

We fill the turkey with filling, we sew in the abdomen.

7

In a cup, mix sour cream, mayonnaise and softened butter, salt and pepper to taste (you can add a little paprika if desired). With the resulting mixture, grease the turkey carcass.

8

We grease the heat-resistant form with vegetable oil (you can bake a turkey on a baking sheet, this is optional). Put the turkey in shape.

9

On the oven, set the temperature to 180 degrees, warm up. We put the turkey in the oven and bake for about two hours. When baking, water the turkey with a small amount of melted fat.

10

We transfer the finished carcass of the turkey to the dish, remove the strings. Garnish with thin slices of lemon and sprigs of fresh herbs (to taste).
