Fish dishes are a favorite treat in many families. The fish is rich in protein and phosphorus, it contains essential amino acids for the body. Fish products are easy to digest and therefore ideal for dinner. White fish cooked according to a simple recipe can become a decoration of a festive feast or just a family dinner.

You will need

  • 1 kg white fish fillet (haddock, hake, pollock)

  • bell pepper (1 yellow, 1 red and 1 green)

  • 200 g champignon

  • 1 tomato

  • 1 onion

  • pepper and other seasonings to taste

  • olive oil

  • for batter:

  • 50 g of starch

  • 450 g flour

  • 450 g of mineral water with gases

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 5 tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil

  • for sweet and sour sauce:

  • 50 g wine vinegar

  • 50 g sugar

  • 100 g of orange juice

  • 50 g of ketchup

  • 2 tbsp. tablespoons of starch

  • ¼ tsp salt

Instruction manual

Prepare a batter: mix flour, oil, salt, pepper, after 1-2 minutes add water and knead the dough to the consistency of liquid sour cream.

Cut the fish fillet into rectangular slices, salt. Roll pieces into starch, then dip in batter.

Fry fish in olive oil for 3-4 minutes on both sides.

Cut bell pepper and tomato into large cubes, onions into half rings, mushrooms into small cubes. Fry vegetables with mushrooms for 10 minutes.

Prepare the sauce: mix sugar, salt, orange juice, vinegar, ketchup. Simmer the resulting mixture over low heat for 10 minutes. Then add starch (previously dissolved in water) and simmer until thickened.

Serve portionwise. Put fish, vegetables with mushrooms on a plate and season with sauce.
