If you do not like sweets, this is not a reason to abandon home baking. Prepare delicious cakes, pretzels, cookies with cheese, caraway seeds, salt or herbs. Such products can be served as an appetizer for wine or beer, as well as tea.

Cookies, cakes, bread or muffins with a variety of unsweetened additives can be cooked in the oven, microwave or slow cooker. Modify ready-made recipes by adding your favorite ingredients - cheese, herbs or spices.

Puff pastries with cheese cream

A very elegant version of baking is puff pastry rolls filled with a delicate cream of cheese and ham. For cooking, use ready-made puff pastry - this will speed up the process.

You will need:

- packing puff pastry;

- 1.5 cups of milk;

- 1 teaspoon of wheat flour;

- 1 teaspoon of potato starch;

- 250 g processed cream cheese;

- 200 g of butter;

- 100 g of lean ham;

- salt;

- freshly ground black pepper;

- 50 g of hard cheese;

- 1 egg.

Defrost the finished puff pastry, roll and cut into strips 2.5 cm wide. Grease the metal tubes with oil and wrap the strips of dough, laying it "overlap". Cover the surface of the products with a beaten egg and lightly sprinkle with grated cheese. Spread the tubes on a greased baking sheet.

Preheat the oven to 220 ° C and place a baking sheet in it. Bake the products until golden brown, then reduce the temperature of the oven. Remove the baked tubules from the metal molds with a napkin and lay them on a cooling board.

Make a cheese cream. Mix starch with flour and pour 0.5 cups of cold milk, thoroughly grinding the mixture to avoid lumps. Heat the remaining milk in a saucepan and pour in the flour mixture. Stir constantly, boil it until thick. Remove the stewpan from the heat.

Grind cream cheese and grind with softened butter. Gradually adding the milk mixture, rub the mass until smooth. Finely chop the ham and pour into the mixture. Salt and pepper the cream, then put it in a pastry bag and fill the puff pastries.

Instead of a pastry bag, you can use a plastic bag with a cut corner.
