"Herring under a fur coat" in the form of a roll

Preparing a similar version of a popular salad will take a little longer than usual and will require some accuracy, but the result is worth it.

For cooking you will need:

- 4 beets;

- 3 carrots;

- 3 potatoes;

- 2 eggs;

- 2 herring fillets;

- mayonnaise.

First of all, you need to prepare the ingredients for the roll. To do this, boil the vegetables until cooked. Hard-boiled eggs. Then cool and clean everything. Then grate all the ingredients on a fine grater. Beets and carrots must be squeezed out of excess fluid, otherwise the roll will not hold its shape. Cut the fish fillet into small slices.

Having prepared all the components, you can begin to assemble the roll. For convenience, put a large cutting board on the table and cover it with cling film. Spread the beets with the first layer. Cover it with a layer of film on top and lightly tamp with your hands, the same will need to be repeated with each layer of roll. Remove the polyethylene, salt the beets and lay a layer of carrots on top of it, it should be slightly smaller than the previous one. Keep in mind that each subsequent layer should be slightly smaller in width. Condens the carrots, salt and dress with mayonnaise.

The next layer will be potatoes, also tightly packed and coated with mayonnaise, then eggs and a layer of mayonnaise. The final touch is the pieces of herring, laid in the center, if desired, add onions to them.

To roll the roll, roll one half of it, remove the film and wrap the second part, putting it "overlap". Pack the finished salad in a film and squeeze lightly with your hands, it should lie in the refrigerator for several hours. Before serving, remove the polyethylene, carefully trim the edges, and decorate the roll on top with greens and mayonnaise.
