Green and red borscht have almost nothing in common. The first is often called green cabbage soup. It got its name thanks to the ingredient - sorrel. Green borscht is very tasty and healthy, especially in the spring. There are a lot of recipes for borscht.

Rinse the chicken thighs well and fill with water. Salt, add bay leaf, allspice, cloves and set to boil the broth for 20 - 25 minutes. Do not forget to collect the foam. You can cook steamed chicken thighs in a slow cooker.

Peel and dice the potatoes. Once the broth is ready, send the potatoes to the pot. Kill 4 - 5 eggs in a bowl and slowly introduce into the broth stirring it with a spoon. Then chop the sorrel and add. Boil for 5-7 minutes and remove from heat.

Now cook the roast. In a pan, fry the onions and carrots, add a tablespoon of tomato paste and fry for another 2 minutes. Combine the frying with borsch and put again on the stove. Chop greens and sprinkle borsch. Boil for 5 minutes.

Green borsch can be eaten both hot and cool.

The finished dish must be served hot with a spoon of sour cream.
