Cranahan is a dessert of Scottish cuisine. Basically, this delicacy is served at all kinds of celebrations, for example, at a wedding. I suggest you cook it for breakfast. It is quite satisfying and tasty.

You will need

  • - oatmeal - 1 cup;

  • - sugar - 3 tablespoons;

  • - mint - 1 bunch;

  • - honey - 3 tablespoons;

  • - cream - 50 ml;

  • - raspberries - 100 g.

Instruction manual

1

Thoroughly grease a clean, dry pan with olive oil, sprinkle oatmeal on it. Put on the stove and fry for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Please note that instant oat flakes should not be used to make a cranachan.

2

After 10 minutes, add a tablespoon of granulated sugar to the pan to the fried oatmeal. Its amount is best adjusted to your liking. Prepare the resulting mixture, stirring continuously while stirring, until the flakes are caramelized.

3

Rinse the mint thoroughly and then let it dry completely. Then take a few leaves from the bunch and chop them, mixing with a tablespoon of granulated sugar, using a blender.

4

Put the resulting mint-sugar mass to caramelized oatmeal. Mix everything as it should.

5

Put the cottage cheese in a separate rather deep bowl and fill it with cream. Mix everything thoroughly until the curd becomes granular. As soon as this happens, introduce it to the rest of the mass. Mix everything well with a spoon.

6

Arrange the resulting mass in a bowl or glass goblets. Top it with honey. You can also decorate the dessert with a small amount of caramelized oatmeal, berry and remaining mint. Cranahan is ready!
