First of all, you need to deal with a possible question: "Is it possible to use honey during fasting?" Having addressed this problem to the Orthodox priest, we get an explanation that yes, honey during fasting is an approved product due to its high nutritional value.

To make the cake, take the amount of honey that you like. Besides the fact that this product will add sweetness to the cake, it is also a component that binds carrots and nuts, preventing the cake from falling apart.

Peel and grate the carrots so that they get a short and thin chip.

Mix carrots with walnuts grated on the same grater. For this dessert, you can try using other nuts, however, it is the walnut that gives a rich spicy flavor.

Now add honey and mix the foods thoroughly. Honey can be of any kind, but it is undesirable to use fresh liquid honey; it is better to choose mature thick or even slightly candied honey.

Wring out the mass by removing excess fluid. It is not necessary to pour it out, as it will be needed to prepare the walnut cake sauce.

Next, you will need small cupcake tins to form the cakes. It can be metal or silicone forms. The first ones are preferably pre-covered with cling film, so that it is easier to extract the finished cakes.

Tightly lay the prepared mass in molds. Put in the refrigerator for 15 minutes, so that the honey hardens a little and the finished cakes retained their shape.

While the dessert cools, you can make a sweet sauce. To do this, take the remaining liquid, put the berries in it and wipe everything together with a blender. Wipe through a sieve to remove debris from carrots, nuts and berries.

Carefully remove chilled cakes from the tins, pour over the sauce.
