Pumpkin juice with oranges

A flavored fortified drink suitable for immediate use as well as for preservation for the winter is prepared from one medium-sized pumpkin, 2-3 oranges, 1 tsp. citric acid and 250 g of sugar. The pulp of the pumpkin is cut into small pieces, poured with water, brought to a boil and boiled for 5 minutes.

The finished pumpkin is cooled and mashed using a blender or metal sieve. Sugar, citric acid and freshly squeezed juice from oranges are added to the mashed pulp. The mixture is thoroughly stirred, once again brought to a boil, served to the table or poured into sterilized jars and closed with lids.
