  • - long rice - 50 g;

  • - sweet pepper (red and green) - 1 pc.;

  • - onions - 1 head;

  • - carrots - 1 pc.;

  • - vegetable oil - 5 tbsp. l

Meat preparation. Rinse the meat with water, beat, cut into long thin (about 1 cm) strips. Mix olive oil with lemon juice (3 tbsp.), Add salt and ground pepper. Dip the meat strips in this marinade and leave for 20-30 minutes.

After the meat is pickled, remove it from the marinade and weave a regular pigtail out of three strips. Finish the ends with skewers.

From other stripes you can make a basket (as shown in the photo). To do this, take 4-5 strips of meat and lay them in parallel at some distance from each other. Take one more strip and place it on top so that it passes under the first lower strip, then over the second lower strip, then under the third lower strip, over the fourth lower strip and under the upper heel. Take 3-4 more strips and weave them into the lower ones in the same way. Poke the ends with skewers.

Fry meat baskets and pigtails in vegetable oil on both sides until cooked (5 minutes on each side). Remove the skewers.

Cooking side dish. Rinse and soak in cold water for 15 minutes. Chop onion and pepper into small cubes. Rub carrots on a grater. Fry the onion in vegetable oil until golden, then add carrots and bell peppers to the onion. Salt. Reduce heat and simmer vegetable mixture for 5-10 minutes.

Drain the rice and put the rice on the vegetables without stirring. Add water if necessary so that the rice is covered with water. Stew the side dish under the lid for 15-20 minutes (until rice is ready). Salt. And then mix the rice and vegetables.

Put wicker meat and a little side dish on a serving plate, decorate the dish with fresh herbs.
