Sift flour through a sieve. Cool the butter and chop it with flour with a sharp knife. It should be creamy crumb.

Add salt to the flour, pour in ice water and knead the elastic dough. Form a disc and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Roll the chilled dough to a thickness of 1 cm. Put in a baking dish, previously greased with butter. Form the sides.

Wash the tomatoes, cut into thin circles. Grate the cheese, mix it with milk and slightly beaten eggs. salt the cheese mixture, pepper and add chopped herbs.

Put tomatoes on the dough, fill with cheese dressing. Bake in the oven for 45 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees.

After the cake is ready, leave it in the oven for 20 minutes, only then remove from the mold and serve.

Useful advice

To make the cake more flavorful, sprinkle it with seasonings 5 ​​minutes before cooking. It can be rosemary, lemon zest, Provence herbs.
