Delicious fish cakes for the preparation of which any fish is suitable. But the tastiest thing is they come from cod and salmon. Chops cooked according to this recipe are a great alternative to regular fishcakes and meatballs.

You will need
- • Cod fillet (salmon) - 600 g;
- • Sweet butter - 160 g;
- • Onion turnip of a sharp grade - 120 g;
- • Milk - 75 g;
- • Mineral sparkling water - 200 g;
- • Chicken egg - 3 pcs;
- • Semolina - 100 g;
- • Finely ground black pepper, seasonings and salt;
- • A mixture of fresh herbs (celery, parsley, dill);
- • Fresh mint leaves - 12 pcs;
- • Rusks for breading - 100 g.

Wash and cut the fish fillet in very small pieces. Transfer to a large bowl with high walls.

Peel the husk off the onion and cut it into slices so that they pass into the neck of the meat grinder. Transfer in a bowl to cod.

Fresh leafy part of the celery, parsley and dill greens are also added to the bowl, where the products are collected that need to be twisted with a meat grinder. Twist all the products prepared and in the bowl with a meat grinder and put the resulting stuffing into it.

Add semolina, finely ground black pepper, milk, chicken eggs, seasonings and salt to the minced fish. Stir with a blender to get a homogeneous mixture.

Remove the minced fish prepared for the preparation of meatballs in the refrigerator for 45 minutes. Pour crackers on a platter in which we will cutlets cutlets.

Form cutlets from chilled minced fish. This should be done with wet and cold hands. Bread them on all sides in breadcrumbs.

Heat sweet butter in a frying pan. Fry the formed patties in it over high heat. Fried fish cakes should have a rosy pink-brown crust with a golden tint.

Put the cutlets in a small metal pan. Add sparkling mineral water to it and simmer cutlets in it for half an hour over low heat under a tight-fitting lid.
