Ingredients:

- 200 g light salted herring fillet;

- 100 g of butter with a fat content of 82.5% (should be of good quality).

In order to save time on cooking dishes from herring, you can take not a whole fish, but pieces. In this case, it should not be in brine, but in oil, which must be completely drained.

Remove the butter from the refrigerator and leave for 40 minutes to soften. Gently pull large bones out of the herring fillet and double-scroll it in a meat grinder or grind it in a blender to make a homogeneous minced fish.

Combine both ingredients in one bowl and rub thoroughly with a fork. Chopped greens, pickles, green or white onions, capelin caviar, etc., can be added to the finished mass if desired.

Salad from herring "Lazy fur coat"

Ingredients:

- 1 slightly salted herring;

- 2 medium potatoes;

- 1 beetroot;

- 1 carrot;

- 2 pickles;

- 1 chicken egg;

- 4-6 tablespoons mayonnaise;

- salt;

- 50 g of hard unsweetened cheese.

Wash the vegetables and set them to boil in different pots over medium heat: beets - for an hour and a half, potatoes and carrots - for 20-25 minutes. Cook a hard-boiled hard boiled egg on the third ring and pour it with cold water.

Clean the fish, separate the fillet. Cut all prepared foods, as well as pickles into small cubes and mix them in a deep salad bowl. Season the salad with mayonnaise, salt to taste and cover with grated cheese. Give it 30-40 minutes to soak and you can eat.

Light herring salad

Ingredients:

- 400 g light salted herring fillet;

- 3 cucumbers;

- 4 radishes;

- 1 tbsp mustard;

- 1 tsp liquid honey;

- 2 tsp balsamic vinegar;

- 1 tbsp vegetable oil;

- endive leaves;

- 1 tsp chopped dill;

- salt.

Cut the fish fillet and vegetables into medium-sized cubes. Whisk vinegar, mustard, honey and vegetable oil in a separate bowl and pour the main ingredients with this sauce. Salt the salad to taste, put it on the leaves of endive and sprinkle with dill.
