Bake turkey legs to a crisp, keeping them in the marinade or just stuffed with garlic, and you will forever love the tender meat of this bird.

Baked turkey legs in spices

Ingredients:

- 5 turkey legs;

- 900 ml of water;

- 1/2 tbsp. white and brown sugar;

- 1/2 tbsp. fine salt;

- 1 tsp seasonings mixture for chicken or turkey + 1 tbsp. for marinade;

- 1 tbsp ground dried chili;

- 1 tsp. onion salt and paprika;

- 1 bay leaf;

- vegetable oil.

Pour water into a saucepan and set on high heat. Pour both types of sugar, salt, 1 tbsp into the dishes. seasoning and toss the bay leaf. Boil the marinade and immediately remove from the stove. Cool it and pour into a bowl or container. Immerse turkey drumsticks there and put them in the refrigerator for 4-8 hours.

Remove the pickled pieces of meat from the aromatic liquid, rinse and pat dry with paper towels. Mix ground chili, paprika, seasoning mixture and onion salt in a bowl. Rub the resulting mixture with the bird and place on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil. Bake turkey legs in an oven preheated to 200oC for 20-25 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 170oC and simmer the dish for another 15-20 minutes.

Crispy turkey legs in a honey marinade

Ingredients:

- 4 large legs of the turkey;

- 500 ml of water;

- 80 g of honey;

- 1 lemon;

- 6-8 peas of black pepper;

- 1/2 tbsp. salts;

For the sauce:

- 100 g butter;

- 3/4 tsp. curry, ground paprika and oregano;

- 1/2 tsp salt.

Squeeze the juice from the lemon and pour into a large container. Add honey, peppercorns and salt and stir well. Add water to the marinade, dip the turkey legs into it and leave for 12-24 hours. Soften the oil, keeping it for 30-40 minutes at room temperature. Whisk it with a whisk with salt and spices.

Remove the drumsticks from the marinade, dry on a tray or cutting board and transfer to an oily, heat-resistant form. Take a culinary brush, dip it in sauce and generously spread pieces of poultry on all sides. Set the oven temperature to 180oC and cook for 30 minutes, then increase the heat to 220oC and brown the legs for 10-15 minutes.
