Pour milk into a small pan. Preheat to become warm, but not hot. Pour one tablespoon of sugar, a little flour, yeast and mix well. Put in a warm place and cover with a napkin or a thin towel.

Twenty minutes later, the yeast will ferment. Pour the mixture into larger dishes. Add the rest of the flour, egg, melted margarine, salt, a tablespoon of sugar and mix the dough thoroughly.

Put for an hour in a warm place. When the dough doubles in volume, put it on the table, mix well again. Cut one fourth of the dough, roll out a thin layer. Grease it with vegetable oil, sprinkle with sugar and poppy seeds. Roll the dough into a tube and cut into pieces two centimeters wide. Turning each piece a little, lay on a baking sheet at a small distance from each other. Rising, the dough will fill the entire volume.
