Unusual sweet and sour and slightly salted marinade and a minimum of cooking time make this recipe indispensable in cases where you need to quickly serve a delicious dish on the table. For this recipe, you can use any part of a whole chicken or a set of drumsticks, wings and even chicken breasts. In the process of preparing marinade for chicken, you can vary the amount of food to your liking, increasing, for example, the amount of honey, if you like better.

  • • Chicken (drumsticks, wings, fillets, chicken legs) - 1 kg

  • • Tomato paste -1.5-2 tbsp. spoons

  • • Soy sauce 100-150 ml

  • • A mixture of pepper or black and red ground pepper in 1/3 tsp.

  • • 1-1.5 tablespoons of honey (can be replaced with sugar)

  • • 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil

  • Tableware

  • • Pickling bowl

  • • Frying pan (preferably with high sides)

Make the marinade first. To do this, mix soy sauce, honey, tomato paste and ground pepper in a bowl. If honey does not mix well with the general liquid, then it can be slightly warmed up in the microwave. But it is worth watching that honey does not boil!

Prepare the chicken. If you use fillet, then cut it into small slices 2-3 cm wide, if ready shanks, chicken legs or wings, then it is enough to wash them, dry on a towel. If the pieces of chicken are large, then you can cut into 2 parts.

Submerge the chicken parts in the sauce and mix. All pieces of meat should be sufficiently coated with marinade. Next, you need to place the pickled chicken under oppression for 40-60 minutes. During this time, pieces of meat are nourished with a mixture and will acquire an unusual sweet-sour-salty taste.

Heat vegetable oil in a pan with high sides. Put the pickled chicken and fry on one side for 7-10 minutes and turn on the other. After that, the dish is ready and you can serve it with any side dish, whether it is rice, potatoes or green vegetables.

• Choose only the best quality products for this dish, for example, you should look for tomato paste in stores, which consists only of tomato and does not contain starch.

• When choosing soy sauce, pay attention to the composition of the product, sometimes there is a soy sauce marinade that already contains sugar, spices and even mashed potatoes. In this case, adjust the volume of sugar or honey as you wish.

For piquancy, the finished dish can be sprinkled with lightly fried sesame seeds or finely chopped green onions.
