But in order to cook squids correctly, it is necessary to observe some nuances - then the finished dish will be tender, juicy and tastes good. Usually, squids are sold frozen in stores, so you must first thaw them in slightly salted water and remove the film from the carcasses with a knife.
Most often, boiled squid meat is added to salads, stuffed, fried along with vegetables or other seafood. In most cases, squid meat should be boiled beforehand. Cooking squids for a long time is not worth it, as their meat will become too hard - three to five minutes will be enough. The most advantageous taste of squid is revealed in the composition of various salads.
To prepare one serving of salad with squid, we need 100 grams of squid, one fresh cucumber, one and a half carrots, one potato, two boiled eggs, 75 grams of mayonnaise, 50 grams of green onions or lettuce, 30 grams of green peas, dill and salt to taste.
- To prepare the squid for adding to the salad, boil them in salted water for several minutes, then remove the film from them.
- Cut the squid into thin strips across the fibers.
- Cut boiled eggs and vegetables into cubes or thin slices, tear lettuce greens into small pieces with your hands.
- Mix all the products, add canned peas and season with mayonnaise, salt, if desired, you can add a little ground black pepper to taste.
- Put the finished salad in a salad bowl and decorate with finely chopped dill.
