You will need

  • -700 g of beef (preferably tenderloin)

  • -2 pieces of onion

  • -2-3 cloves of garlic

  • -2 carrots

  • -4-5 potatoes

  • -1 orange

  • -2 celery stalks

  • -200-300 ml of broth or water

  • -3-4 pieces of sweet peppers

  • leaf laurel

  • - salt to taste

  • - black pepper or chili to taste

  • -30 g vegetable oil

  • -greens

Instruction manual

1

Wash and dry the meat. Cut the beef into small pieces across the fibers. Lightly beat on both sides, salt and pepper. For greater juiciness, you can make a knife "mesh".

2

Fry the prepared meat in vegetable oil on both sides until golden brown. Take the frying pan with a thick bottom.

3

Peel onions, carrots, wash. Chop the onions in half rings, cut the carrots into slices, finely chop the garlic and celery stalks.

4

Add chopped onions and garlic to the meat first, fry for 2-3 minutes, then carrots and celery. Sauté all the vegetables and meat for another 2-3 minutes.

5

Peel, wash and dry the potatoes. Slice into large wedges. Add prepared potatoes to meat and vegetables. Pour in broth or water so that the liquid covers the potatoes. Salt, pepper, add peppercorns, chili peppers and bay leaves.

6

Preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees. Cover the dishes and place in the oven for 1.5 hours.

7

Wash the orange, peel and cut into slices. Turn off the oven, add chopped orange and leave the dish in the oven off for 20 minutes.

When serving, sprinkle goulash with finely chopped greens.

note

If you have middle-aged beef and you are afraid that it will be stiff, then before cooking it needs to be beaten off, greased with mustard and refrigerated for a couple of hours.

Useful advice

If desired, you can add tomato paste and bell pepper to the dish.
