In Latin America, beans are traditionally added to soups, salads, sauces, stews, fries and sandwiches.

One medium serving of beans contains 30% of the recommended daily allowance for fiber. Beans are especially useful for people who lead an active lifestyle and want to lose weight: fiber satisfies hunger for a long time, and proteins saturate the body with energy. In addition, the fruits of this wonderful plant are rich in folic acid, which accelerates the healing of abrasions, wounds and corns. And beans - one of the most effective immunomodulators of plant origin.

Mexican Bean Sauce

  • 250 g dried beans

  • 1/2 onion,

  • 1/2 tsp ground red pepper

  • 1 tbsp. l olive oil,

  • 2 tbsp. l sour cream

  • 2 tbsp. l shredded cilantro.

Peel and finely chop the onion. Soak the beans in cold water. Drain the water, put the beans in a pan and pour fresh water. Bring to a boil and cook first 10 minutes in boiling water, and then another 2 hours on low heat, then knead with a fork. Fry onion and ground red pepper in oil for 5 minutes. Allow to cool, then mix the beans with sour cream and cilantro in a blender to a puree consistency.
