You will need
- - 300 g of rice
- - 300 g of potatoes
- - 1 tsp turmeric
- - 1 shallot
- - 30 g pine nuts
- - 30 g of raisins
- - 4 tbsp. l olive oil
- - 250 g minced meat
- - 1 tsp coriander
- - 0.5 tsp cardamom
- - 0.5 tsp cinnamon
- - salt pepper
- - 1 egg
- - 700 ml of vegetable oil

Put rice in boiling water, add turmeric and let it boil, add salt to taste.

Peel and dice the potatoes and add to the rice. Cook with the lid closed for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally. It should get a thick mass. Set to cool.

Start making the filling. Fry pine nuts in a skillet without vegetable oil. After frying, put them on a plate and leave to cool. Pour raisins with hot water. Chop the shallots finely. Heat a skillet with vegetable oil and fry the onion.

Add minced meat and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with cinnamon, cardamom, coriander and salt, pepper to taste. Strain the raisins, add it to the minced meat and nuts and leave to cool.

Mash the cooled rice-potato mixture with a crush. Add the egg and salt to taste, knead the dough well. Divide it into 16 equal parts. Moisten hands with cold water. Put part of the dough on a wet palm and make a cake, put 1 tbsp. meat filling.

Connect the edges and pinch well. Work with wet hands. When all the pies are done, heat 700 ml of oil in a deep fat fryer. Put the pies and fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes
