Appetizers are dishes that are usually served in front of the main ones. Snacks are divided into cold and hot and are made from various products: meat, fish, vegetables and fruits. Some snack foods are time consuming, but there are quick and easy to prepare.

Savory appetizer in lettuce

To prepare a savory appetizer of cottage cheese, you will need the following products:

- 200 g of cottage cheese;

- 1-2 cloves of garlic;

- 20 g of dill;

- 1-2 tbsp. l mayonnaise;

- lettuce leaves;

- salt.

Rub the cottage cheese through a sieve. Wash the dill under running water and dry on a paper towel, then chop finely. Peel the garlic cloves and pass through a press. Combine the prepared ingredients: cottage cheese, herbs and garlic. Season with salt, mayonnaise and mix well until a creamy mass is obtained. Then place the cooked snack for 20-30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Wash and dry lettuce leaves. Put a small amount of filling on each and gently roll the sheet in the form of a roll or cone so that the filling is inside, and immediately serve the snack to the table.

Pies with tomatoes and cheese

To make a hot appetizer for this recipe you will need:

- 400 g of thin Armenian lavash;

- 500 g of tomatoes;

- 600 g of cheese;

- 100 g of fresh herbs;

- 70 ml of vegetable oil;

- ground black pepper;

- salt.

Thin plates of Armenian lavash cut into 8-12 servings. Wash and dry the tomatoes, and then cut into thin slices together with hard cheese.

For each portion of pita bread (closer to one of the edges) put the filling, first slices of cheese, then tomatoes. Salt everything, pepper, sprinkle with finely chopped greens, lay another layer of cheese on top. Wrap the filling in pita bread and fry the resulting “pie” on both sides in a frying pan greased with vegetable oil. The cooked appetizer is served hot to the table.
