Braised rabbit with potatoes can be prepared in different ways. There is a classic recipe. You can also stew a rabbit with potatoes in a pot, with sour cream or other additives.
Braised rabbit with potatoes: a classic recipe
Essential ingredients: rabbit carcass, 3 tbsp. tablespoons butter, celery, 2 pcs. onions, bay leaf, 4 glasses of red wine, 4 potatoes, 2 carrots, 500 grams of mushrooms, half a glass of flour, as well as water, salt and pepper to taste.
Wash the rabbit carcass thoroughly and chop it into portions. Roll them in flour. Melt the butter in a roasting pan and sauté the pieces of meat until golden. Cut onions and celery into cubes and send to the roasting pan. Then put bay leaf, salt and pepper to taste, 4 cups of water and wine. Be sure to bring the liquid in the roasting pan to a boil and reduce the heat slightly. Stew the rabbit under the lid for two hours.
After a while, put potatoes and carrots in the roasting pan. Naturally, they should be peeled and diced. Also add the mushrooms and stew the meat for half an hour. Vegetables should be soft enough. Then separately mix half a glass of flour and 1/3 cup of water. Add the resulting solution to the meat and mix everything. It remains to wait for the complete thickening of the liquid in the fryer.
