Rinse and peel all vegetables well. Drain the liquid from the beans. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Cut carrots and celery into thin slices. Tear celery leaves into pieces.

Heat butter in a deep frying pan and fry onions and carrots for a couple of minutes. Add garlic and celery and fry for another minute. Add beans to the pan.

Dilute tomato paste, cumin, and pepper and salt in the vegetable broth. Pour into a pan. Stew for 10 minutes. Then remove from heat and season with lemon juice.
