You will need

  • - 500 g of beef or any other meat

  • - 3 large potatoes

  • - 1 carrot

  • - 2 sweet bell peppers

  • - 2 tomatoes

  • - 1 eggplant

  • - garlic, the number of cloves by the number of pots for baking

  • - 2 onions

  • - a bunch of greenery

  • - salt

  • - pepper

Rinse the meat under running water and pat dry with paper towels. Cut the meat into cubes with a sharp knife. Peel the onion, cut into cubes. Peel the potatoes and also chop. Wash and chop the eggplant and tomatoes. Grate the carrots. Wash, cut and pepper the core with all seeds thoroughly. Cut it into cubes too.

Mix chopped vegetables and meat, salt and pepper.

Put the mixture of meat with vegetables into baking pots, filling the pots with about two-thirds. From above, squeeze a clove of garlic through a garlic press into each pot.

Pour some water into the pots; it should not cover vegetables with meat.

Close the pots with a lid. Put in an oven preheated to 180-200 C for an hour.

Serve meat and vegetables directly in pots, sprinkled with greens on top.

Useful advice

If desired, you can add a small piece of butter to each pot. This will give the dish extra juiciness.
