  • 1 can of canned fish;

  • 2-4 potatoes;

  • 2 small onions;

  • 1 small carrot.

We put water on the fire. While it boils, cut the potatoes into cubes and rub the carrots on a coarse grater. 1 onion cut into cubes or half rings. We take out the canned food from the can and divide it into small pieces.

We place potatoes, 1 bay leaf, 2-3 peas of allspice, 1 peeled onion in salted water. When the soup is ready, bay leaf and onions are best removed.

While the potatoes are being boiled, we pass the chopped onions with carrots in a pan. You can lightly season the vegetables with ground pepper or other seasonings to taste. But seasonings should be added only if you want to cook the soup sharper: canned food will give it enough sharpness. Pour the prepared vegetables into a pot and pot.

When the potatoes are almost ready, put canned fish in a pan and boil for no more than 3 minutes. Then remove the soup from the heat. You can let it brew, so the dish will be tastier.

Usually, pink salmon or saury are used to make canned fish soup. But you can experiment with other canned goods. The main thing is that they be of high quality and not expired.

Useful advice

You can add cereals to the soup - it can be rice, buckwheat, barley or other cereals to your taste. In this case, cereals (3 liters - 1/3 cup) should be placed in water at the same time as potatoes.
