We start preparing a delicious pie with sorrel. Rinse the sorrel well with cool water and let it drain by putting the greens in a colander; we don’t break the leaf stalks, since during cooking they will become soft. We cut it with middle strips across the sheet. Put in a bowl, crush a little crush.

We proceed directly to the preparation of the pie. We roll out the dough (puff pastry rolls out only in one direction). We take one layer of dough, lightly sprinkle it with flour, roll out with a thickness of 2-3 mm. Now sprinkle the middle of the layer vertically with sugar (approximately 2-3 tablespoons), spread half of the cut sorrel on top. Sprinkle with sugar on top again (2-3 tablespoons). Those who love the sweeter can add even more. We wrap the upper and lower parts of the layer up so that the filling does not fall out. We cut the edges of the dough on both sides and lay on top of each other, creating a semblance of a pigtail.

Before you put the cake to bake, you need to grease it with a beaten chicken egg. Bake the cake at a temperature of 180 degrees. We take out of the oven only after the appearance of a golden brown crust.
