After that, dip the mixture of mountain ash and leaves.

Cherry leaves can be replaced with currant leaves. Then the tincture will acquire a completely different taste.

Cook the berries for about a quarter of an hour. Then remove them from the stove and cool. Be sure to strain the resulting workpiece through cheesecloth.

Now you need to add vodka, sugar and citric acid to the broth. Stir the resulting mixture until sugar is completely dissolved, bottle it and put it in a cool dark place for 7-10 days. After the specified period, the tincture will be ready for use. By the way, it has a very beneficial effect on digestion.

Some housewives insist chokeberry on brandy, and not on vodka. To create such a tincture, you should take 2 cups of chokeberry, 2 cups of cognac, 1 tbsp. honey, 2 tbsp oak bast. The recipe is very simple. First, fill in the mountain ash with cognac and then add honey and bast there. Bottle the resulting mixture and infuse it in a cool place for about 2.5-3 months.

The tart taste of chokeberry goes well with shortcrust pastry. You can make a great pie with rowan and apples in just 50 minutes. To do this, you will need the following ingredients: 300 g of good margarine or butter, 2 cups of wheat flour, 2 tsp. soda, 2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice, as well as 2 apples and 2 cups of sugar, a glass of aronia and 1 tsp. vanilla sugar.

First, prepare the dough. Take the flour, sift it and mix with a little sugar and soda. Remove the oil from the refrigerator in advance, so that it is soft, put in a deep bowl. Grind the butter and flour mixture until smooth.

After that, carefully sort the berries of mountain ash for twigs and rinse them. Put the mountain ash in a colander and wait for the water to drain completely. Dry it, crush and mix with sugar. Wash and peel the apples, be sure to remove the core. Cut them into thin slices and sprinkle with lemon juice. In the next cooking step, add the rowan puree and vanilla sugar to the apples. Mix everything well.

Prepare a cake pan - line it with baking paper. Remember to oil it. Put in the form 2/3 of the dough and flatten it. Then put the filling and cover it with the remaining dough. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C and bake the cake for about 40 minutes until a golden crust forms.
