Spicy crab rolls are a popular Japanese snack. Since it is very difficult to find fresh crab meat in our country, you can use canned crab meat or crab sticks for the recipe for this dish. Another important ingredient is spicy sauce, which can be purchased in specialized stores or prepared independently.

  • - 150 g of rice for sushi;

  • - 3 sheets of nori seaweed;

  • - 150 g canned crab meat;

  • - 2 tbsp. spoons of masago caviar or sesame seeds;

  • - 1 teaspoon of lemon juice;

  • - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of mayonnaise;

  • - 1 teaspoon of sugar;

  • - 50 ml of vinegar for sushi;

  • - salt to taste;

  • - Wasabi to taste;

  • - spicy sauce.

First you need to boil Japanese rice according to the method that is indicated on the package. Ready rice is seasoned with rice vinegar, add sugar, salt and mix everything thoroughly.

In order to prepare the filling for the roll, you will need canned crab meat and spicy sauce. Cut the crab meat (or crab sticks) into small pieces and mix with spicy sauce. If you want to cook rolls with a sharper taste, then instead of spicy sauce, you can use mayonnaise or any other sauce.

We wrap the roll mat in cling film to prevent the ingredients from getting stuck between bamboo sticks. We put a sheet of nori seaweed on top so that the shiny side is below. On top of the sheet we spread a layer of rice for sushi, grease with mayonnaise and wasabi paste. Next, spread the cooked filling of canned crabs, sprinkling it with lemon juice.

Wrap a roll with a crab using a bamboo mat. The resulting roll is cut across into 6-8 equal parts. We lay out the finished dish on plates, decorating it with sesame seeds or masago caviar.
