“Napoleon” from pita bread, although it differs in taste from a classic puff pastry cake, but it is by no means worse. If you strictly follow the recipe for making sweets using specific ingredients, then the dish will turn out to be tender and moderately sweet.

It is also worth considering that the taste of the cake and its consistency directly depends on pita bread. Thin “pancakes” are ideal for the recipe, because it is thanks to them that the dessert turns out to be airy and tender. No, of course, you can use thick sheets of pita bread in the preparation of the cake, in this case, less cakes will be needed, but the food will need more time to soak in the cream. Therefore, if you need to cook something quickly for tea, it is better to use a lot of thin cakes and not skimp on the cream (the more it is, the more tender the cake will turn out).

Break the eggs into the pan and add sugar to them. Beat these ingredients to double the mass. Add flour to the egg mass and beat everything again.

Add a liter of milk to the mixture, mix and place on a stove over low heat. Heat the mass to 70-80 degrees, not forgetting to stir the product so that it does not burn. As soon as bubbles begin to appear on the surface of the cream, remove the pan from the heat, add oil to the mixture and whisk everything.

Start assembling the cake. Put one cake on a flat dish and grease it with plenty of previously prepared cream. Put on the smeared cake the following preparation of pita bread and also grease it with cream. So do the procedure with all the cakes.

Dry the pieces of pita bread that remained when cutting the cakes, dry them well in a pan, then grind them into medium-sized crumbs using a rolling pin. Sprinkle the cake on top with the resulting product. Leave the cake at room temperature for an hour, and after the indicated time, put it in the refrigerator to cool for another hour.

Before serving, the food can be decorated as you wish. For decoration, sliced fruit, berries or nuts are suitable.
