You will need
- - 200 g of butter and a little more for the form;
- - 140 g pitted cherries;
- - 140 g of flour;
- - 200 g of powdered sugar;
- - 3 eggs;
- - a teaspoon of baking powder;
- - 75 g of ground almonds;
- - a teaspoon of vanilla and almond extract;
- - 2 tablespoons of milk;
- - 200 g of bitter or milk chocolate;
- - 2-3 tablespoons of almond flakes for decoration.

Preheat the oven to 160C. Lubricate the cake pan with butter and cover it with baking paper.

Cut the cherries into halves, mix with one spoon of flour, remove to the side.

Spread butter at room temperature in a bowl, whisk with sugar until air cream. We drive in the eggs one at a time. Add flour, baking powder and ground almonds to the bowl, mix. Pour in milk, vanilla and almond extract. Add chocolate, previously chopped into small pieces, mix thoroughly again.

We spread half of the dough into a mold and distribute half of the cherry fruits over it. Pour in the remaining dough, level and lay out the remaining berries. Bake for 60-70 minutes, check readiness with a wooden skewer or a toothpick.

Let the cake cool in shape for 10 minutes, transfer to a wire rack, decorate with almond flakes and, if desired, melted chocolate.
