This pudding is made from ordinary semolina, poured on top with spicy orange syrup. With such a dish, it is useful to start your day, read the recipe and prepare delicious semolina pudding for breakfast.

You will need

  • For pudding:

  • - 180 g of semolina;

  • - 150 g of butter, brown sugar;

  • - 5 eggs;

  • - 1 orange;

  • - 1 liter of milk;

  • - vegetable oil, vanilla extract, sea salt.

  • For orange syrup:

  • - 1 orange;

  • - 1 glass of orange juice;

  • - 4 tbsp. tablespoons of brown sugar;

  • - cinnamon pod;

  • - an asterisk.

Set the oven to heat to 190 degrees. Rub the zest of one orange on a fine grater. Mix milk with vanilla extract, 150 g sugar and orange zest in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil.

Cut the zest of the second orange into thin strips. Make syrup: mix in a small saucepan with a thick bottom orange juice and zest, cinnamon, star anise, 4 tablespoons of brown sugar. Cook over low heat until syrup is formed.

Mix semolina with salt, pour in a pan to the heated milk. Cook on low heat, stirring occasionally, turn off the stove when the mass is thickened. Add butter to the semolina, mix, slightly cool the mass. Insert eggs into it one at a time, carefully kneading the dough after each.

Lubricate the cake pan with vegetable oil, pour the semolina dough into it, bake for about 1 hour at the indicated temperature in the oven.

Cool the finished semolina pudding, turn it from the mold onto the dish. Pour abundantly orange syrup on top, serve for breakfast or as a healthy dinner.
