  • - 1.5 cups sour cream;

  • - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese.

First, boil ziti tubules in salt boiling water for 8-10 minutes (see the instructions on the package for your pasta). After that, throw them in a colander, let all the water drain.

In a large skillet or pan, brown the chopped onions with lean ground beef over medium heat. Add tomato sauce and simmer for 15 minutes. Ready spaghetti tomato sauce is usually sold in 750 ml jars. But you can stew minced meat with onions in a mixture of water, tomato paste and spices to taste. In addition, you can make tomato sauce yourself from fresh tomatoes.

Smear the baking dish with butter, put the prepared ingredients there in layers: first half boiled pasta, then slices of soft cheese, sour cream, half meat tomato sauce, again half pasta, mozzarella cheese, sliced. Pour all this with the remains of tomato-meat sauce. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese on top. Put the mold in the oven.

Ziti pasta casserole is cooked for approximately 30 minutes at an oven temperature of 180 degrees. Cheese should be thoroughly browned during this time. Serve such a hearty casserole hot.
