Fill the pan halfway with water and bring it to a boil. Boiling water will allow you to steam the cork until completely softened.

When the water boils, remove the pan from the heat and immerse the sieve in the pan so that its bottom does not touch the water. Put the cork from the bottle into it.

Close the pan with a lid and leave the cork to steam for 2-3 minutes depending on the size of the cork (to clog the champagne, you have to steam the cork from it for about 5 minutes).

Now the cork can easily be squeezed between your fingers. Do not hold the cork for too long, as it may crumble when it cools, and also become too spongy and make it difficult to get into a bottle of wine.

After placing the cork in the neck, leave the wine bottle upright for one to two days. This will allow the cork to swell back to its size. Once it increases, the bottle can be put on its side, so that the wine constantly moisturizes the cork.
