A steak is a part of fish or meat from which the main dishes are prepared. It is distinguished by taste and the greatest juiciness after cooking. In this case, the salmon steak is the middle part of the fish. The size and weight of the carcass does not matter. Prepare the steak for cooking. Rinse it with plain water (preferably chilled and boiled).

Cut the steak into portions. The pieces should be medium in size. Portions determine for yourself.

Marinate chopped pieces. To do this, put them in a glass jar or enameled glassware, salt, add coarse pepper and pour it all over the juice of half a lemon. Cover and leave for fifteen to twenty minutes in a cool place. After marinating, the steak will be more juicy, tender and aromatic.

Cut half a lemon and one tomato into circles. The circles should not be too thick. The thinner the better.

Take the foil and make a few boats. They should fit the size of one piece of steak. To do this, take a piece of foil and, taking by the edges, pinch them on each side. You should get a boat shape.

Lay out the resulting "boats" on a baking sheet and put a piece of steak in each. Add salt and pepper as needed. Put slices of lemon and tomato on top of the slices.

Pour each steak boat with cream. Pour in so that the cream covers only half the piece of fish.

Place the pan in the oven, set the temperature to 200 degrees and bake steaks until cooked. It usually takes about 15-20 minutes. After that, the baking sheet can be removed from the oven and served on the table, laying out portions on plates. Place and remove the pan carefully so that the “boats” do not roll over.

Do not overdo the steak in the oven for more than 20 minutes, and do not exceed a temperature of 200 degrees. If you overexpose or bake the steak too much, it will lose its necessary juiciness and become dry. The taste will also change significantly.

Useful advice

Salmon steak is best served with parsley or dill. Steam vegetables or boiled potatoes are ideal as a side dish. Before sending the pan to the oven, slices of boiled potatoes can be placed in each boat under the fish. With this method, you do not have to prepare a side dish for the dish separately.
