The first mention of a pressure cooker dates back to the middle of the 15th century. studies of three great scientists: the French physician Denis Papin, the physicist Edmie Mariotte, and the Anglo-Irish physicist Robert Boyle. However, pressure cookers got into the kitchen only after the Second World War, when they began to use stainless steel for the manufacture of dishes.

Instruction manual

1

First of all, products that take longer to cook are put into the pressure cooker. It can be meat, legumes, or hard vegetables. If a preliminary roasting of meat is indicated in the recipe, then it must first be fried, and then laid directly into the pressure cooker.

2

When the first ingredients are placed in a pressure cooker, the pan is placed on the stove, the fire is added and you need to wait for the whistle. The whistle indicates that enough pressure has built up inside the pressure cooker for quick cooking. From this moment, you can reduce the fire and count the minutes of cooking. If steam or liquid leaks out of the valve, that's okay.

3

When the meat is half ready, we need to add peeled and chopped potatoes to the pressure cooker. To do this, you need to reduce the pressure and temperature in a pressure cooker, as if we are finishing cooking. It is necessary to release the pressure by carefully lifting the valve on the cover. You cannot remove the cover without this. When the steam output stops, you need to put the pan under cold water for a few seconds. After that, you can remove the lid and add the following ingredients to the cooking dish, in this case potatoes.

4

Then you need to close the pan again, bring the temperature under it to a maximum at which the desired pressure will be reached and continue cooking until cooked.

note

Before cooking, be sure to check the purity of the valvola (valve that releases steam).

Useful advice

If your bread is stale, you need to pour a little water into the pressure cooker, put the wire rack and put stale bread on it. Put the closed pressure cooker on the fire. Remove the pan from the heat after the valve hiss, and open after 7-10 minutes. The bread will be fresh again.
