Pour rice into a cup, sort it out if necessary. Rinse several times until the water remains clean.

Pour the milk into a saucepan, salt, add vanillin, separate from the prepared butter a piece of 10 grams, put in milk and put on fire. Do not go far from the stove, milk can easily run away, so you need to monitor it and stir occasionally.

Pour rice into boiled milk, let it boil, reduce heat on the stove to the minimum possible. Cover the pan and let the porridge simmer for 40-45 minutes. Cooking time depends on the rice variety and grain shape. Do not open the pan lid the whole time the porridge is cooked.

Arrange the porridge in plates, melt the remaining butter over low heat, pour rice on top of them and sprinkle with sugar mixed with cinnamon.

According to this recipe, the porridge is thick, it can be eaten both in hot and in cold form. If you like more viscous and thin porridge, increase the amount of milk by 150-200 ml.

For the preparation of milk porridge, it is better to take round grain rice.
