You will need

    • 150 g lingonberries;
    • 120 g of sugar;
    • 1 liter of water;
    • 2 mint leaves.

Instruction manual

1

At home, cowberry juice can be made from fresh and frozen berries.

Sort fresh berries, clean from leaves. Boil water, cool it. Rinse lingonberries in warm boiled water. Put the berries in a blender. Pour some cold or warm water and chop.

2

Ground berries strain. Use a sieve for this. It is better to filter the berries immediately in a jug or any glass container. Close the juice with a lid and refrigerate. Squeezes from lingonberries pour cold water, boil for 5 minutes over low heat.

3

Add sugar, mix gently. Instead of sugar, you can use honey, but you need to add it to the finished juice. Cool and strain the mixture. Pour chilled juice into the resulting broth.

4

To prepare fruit drinks from frozen berries, take lingonberries from the refrigerator, sort it out. Put the berries in a glass bowl and pour boiling water. See that the water completely covers the lingonberry. Stir the mixture with a spoon until all the berries have melted. Pour in more boiled water. Add sugar and mint leaves.

5

Close the container with a lid. Leave to brew for 3 hours in a warm place. Strain fruit juice through a sieve or cheesecloth. Mash lingonberries with a spoon or pestle to squeeze as much juice as possible. Pour the finished drink into a transparent jug. You can add ice cubes. The color of the finished fruit juice should be saturated.

6

Store fruit drinks for two days in a refrigerator or other cool place.

Useful advice

When filtering fruit drinks, do not use metal containers and a sieve, since lingonberries are sour and can react with metal. The taste of the drink will depend on this.
