Instruction manual

1

Drying prunes at home is not at all difficult. Take fresh plums of varieties Stanley, Hungarian ordinary, Hungarian Italian, Naroch, Kroman, Greengage Altana. Rinse the fruit well in running water. Carefully remove the seeds from the large plums. Small plums can be dried with seeds, but be careful in the future: removing bone from ready-made prunes is not easy.

2

Make a solution of soda: mix it in proportions of 15 g per liter of water. Preheat the solution and dip fresh washed plums into it for a minute. Then take out the fruits, rinse in cold water and spread evenly on a baking sheet. Leave the plums to air dry for 1-2 hours.

3

Put dried plums in a metal sieve or colander and dry in an oven or hot dryer. The procedure for preparing prunes is necessary in 3 stages. The first stage will take 3-4 hours. Dry prunes at a temperature of 40-45 degrees. Remove the fruits from the dryer and leave them in the air for 3-5 hours.

4

The second stage of prune preparation lasts 4-5 hours. Dry the prunes in an oven, heated to a temperature of 55-60 degrees. Then refrigerate the fruit in air for 3-5 hours.

5

The third stage completes the drying of prunes. Place the dried fruit in the oven for 12-16 hours, maintaining the temperature at 75-80 degrees.

6

The second way to dry your prunes at home will require less effort. Rinse the plums well and put them in a colander.

7

Prepare a solution of soda in the proportions of 1 tablespoon per liter of water. Place a colander with plums in this solution and wait for the liquid to boil.

8

Rinse the plums in cold water. Lay them on a baking sheet and dry in a way convenient for you: in the oven at a temperature of 50 degrees or just in the sun. If you dried the prunes correctly, it should become solid, but solid (that is, not crumble). Soak prunes in clean water before use.
