Jelly chewing gum will be not only interesting, but also useful even for young children. The texture of chewing gum is in many ways similar to marmalade, it can be swallowed without negative consequences for the body. To prepare you will need:

- fruit juice - 50 ml;

- gelatin - 10 g;

- starch - ½ tsp;

- water - 50 ml;

- sugar syrup - 150 ml;

- lemon juice - 2.5 tbsp. l

Put the fruit juice in the microwave and heat a little. Pour gelatin over the heated juice and leave to swell. Pour sugar syrup into a convenient container and lightly warm. At this stage, if desired, you can add food coloring, flavoring or a small amount of aromatic cinnamon, grated zest and vanillin.

In warm syrup, add swollen gelatin and starch. Carefully move the mixture until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. Pass the mass through a sieve, place in small tins and refrigerate for 6-8 hours. Over time, chewing marmalade can be consumed.

Instead of chewing gum, you can chew honeycombs, which are not only tasty, but also healthy.

You can also prepare chewing gum at home using a special base - a gum base. Such products are rare guests in supermarkets, so you have to go to online stores in search of. To prepare chewing gum, take:

- basis for chewing gum - 1 tbsp. l.;

- corn syrup - 1 tsp;

- starch - 2 tbsp. l.;

- food coloring - 2 drops;

- flavoring.

Before cooking, warm the base for the chewing gum in a microwave oven so that it gains a consistency that is convenient for work. For a medium-power microwave oven, 1.5 minutes will be sufficient. Add syrup to the softened base and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous consistency is obtained.

Put the resulting homogeneous mass into a starch slide and knead as if working with a dough. Once it becomes smooth and supple, add food coloring and flavoring. Roll out the stratum and squeeze out various figures from it with cookie cutters or cut into pillows. To harden, place the prepared chewing gum for several hours in the refrigerator.

Corn syrup can be replaced with liquid young honey or any other sugar-free syrup.

A slightly different way of cooking with powdered sugar. Instead of starch, take 2 tbsp. l powdered sugar. Without removing the gum base from the water bath, add the syrup and mix thoroughly. Complete the mass with half the norm of icing sugar, flavoring and coloring. Distribute the remaining powder on the table with a thin layer, gently roll around the warmed base in it. After cooling, divide the mass into separate pieces.

In Southeast Asia and India, chewing gum is still being prepared from lime, areca palm seeds and pepper betel leaves. The usefulness of such a product is doubtful, but local residents claim that it is an aphrodisiac and an effective disinfectant.
