  • Red lentils - 150 g

  • Bell pepper - 1/2 pcs.

  • Carrots - 1 pc.

  • Onion - 1 pc.

  • Tomato paste - 1 tbsp.

  • Garlic - 2 cloves

  • Spices, herbs, salt - to taste

We put the oven to heat up to 180 degrees. We wash vegetables: carrots and half a bell pepper. Peel and cut the carrots in thick circles, remove the seeds from the pepper and cut into large pieces. Put the vegetables in a bowl. On a fine grater, rub the garlic (or pass through the garlic press) and add it to the chopped vegetables. Pour them with a tablespoon of olive oil, sprinkle with dried dill and mix thoroughly so that the oil is evenly distributed over the vegetables. We spread them on baking paper and bake in the oven for 30 minutes.

While preparing the baked vegetables, peel and cut the onions in half rings. Heat a deep frying pan with a small amount of olive oil, add onions to it and fry until golden brown. Add one tablespoon of tomato paste, warm. Pour one and a half glasses of boiling water, reduce the fire. Pour the lentils into the water, mix and cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes until the lentils are soft.

We take vegetables out of the oven, put them in a pan. Lentils with tomato paste and onions are also poured from the pan into the pan. Beat the soup with a blender to a puree state, add water if necessary. Season with salt, spices and herbs to taste.
