Cranberry juice can be consumed by adults and children. At home, making fruit drinks is not difficult, even for novice cooks. If desired, you can add mint, ginger or honey to the fruit drink, but only before eating. If fruit juice is harvested for the winter, it is better in its pure form. This will provide a shelf life of up to 1 year. Precipitation is allowed in the finished product.

For 500 g of cranberry berries it is required: sugar 250 g, water 2 l.

Cooking method:

  1. Sort the berries, remove the spoiled and rotten. Wash and put in ceramic or enamel dishes. It is not recommended to use metal utensils to prevent the berries from darkening.

  2. Grind with a wooden mortar or crush in mashed potatoes to stand out juice.

  3. After several layers of gauze, strain the mashed potatoes and squeeze the juice well.

  4. Transfer the pressed pulp from gauze to a pan, pour water and put on medium heat.

  5. Add sugar, mix well and cook for 25-30 minutes. Then cover the broth and leave for 1-2 hours.

  6. Strain the broth and mix with juice.

  7. Put the pan with fruit juice on the fire, bring to a boil, boil for 1-2 minutes and immediately remove from heat.

  8. Pour the prepared fruit juice in clean, dry cans or bottles, close tightly and store in a dark place.

  9. When consumed, you can dilute with water and add sugar.
