First, prepare the filling: finely chop the cabbage, cut the onion rings. In a pan with vegetable oil, fry the onions until golden brown, then pour the cabbage and mushrooms, salt and pepper, stew to soften the ingredients.

Then they prepare the dough: in a deep bowl, beat 1 egg with sugar, kefir and salt, and then gently pour the baking powder and flour so that there are no lumps in the mass. Melt margarine and add to other products and mix. Beat and salt the remaining 2 eggs in a separate container.

When the dough and filling are ready, prepare a baking sheet and heat the oven to 200 degrees. The container is greased with oil, half of the dough is poured into it, then cabbage is laid out, watered with beaten eggs and the remaining dough is poured on top. The filling is poured, it is impossible to mix the layers in any case. That is why the cake is called aspic.

Before preparing a pie on kefir, it is important to choose the right spices so that the dish has a rich taste. Ideal for some juniper berries, caraway seeds and bay leaves. As the filling, use acidic and fresh cabbage and even mix them in one pie. And to diversify the taste, boiled eggs, hard cheese, smoked sausage, mushrooms, etc. are added to the main product.
