You will need

  • - 4 tbsp butter;

  • - 100 ml of sugar;

  • - 2 medium apples;

  • - 75 ml of wheat flour;

  • - 1 tsp baking powder;

  • - 0.25 tsp salts;

  • - 30 g of cornmeal;

  • - 50 ml of hot water;

  • - 1 large egg;

  • - 0.5 tsp vanilla extract;

  • - 30 ml of milk.

Instruction manual

1

Grease a small form with melted butter or line with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees.

2

Peel and cut the apples in a medium cube. In a small thick-walled pan, melt 1 tbsp. butter with 1 tablespoon Sahara. Periodically shaking the pan slightly so that the sugar does not burn, cook until caramel is obtained. Put the fruits in the pan and shake it so that the apples are covered with caramel. Then cover and simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes to let the apples pour juice. Then remove the lid and keep on the stove for another 10 minutes: the apples should be covered with caramel and be soft. Set aside the finished filling.

3

Boil cornmeal with boiling water. Add the remaining softened butter and sugar to it. Beat with a blender until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mix again.

4

Separately sift wheat flour with salt and baking powder and combine in two doses with the rest of the ingredients, alternating with milk.

5

Put the caramelized apples in the prepared form and pour the dough. Send to the preheated oven for 40 minutes. Leave the finished cake for 5 minutes in the form and only then turn it on a plate.

Serve wonderfully with natural yogurt or thick sour cream.
