The secret to successfully preparing Italian pasta is the freshness and excellent quality of the products used. Carbonara is one of the most famous pasta options in the world. This is a delicious dish with crispy bacon in a delicious sauce. The following recipe does not apply to purely Italian, it is a variation of other Europeans. A simple and quick option for cooking pasta, which will delight your family with the true spirit of Italy.

To simplify the cooking process, first prepare the food. Cut the bacon / ham into oblong thin strips, grate the parmesan on a fine grater. For any Italian dish, it is better to use the Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.

Place a pot of cold water on high heat. After boiling, salt and pour the paste into it (for this recipe, it is better to use spaghetti). Cook until cooked (usually the cooking time is indicated on the package, about 10 minutes). Do not forget to stir the pasta so that it does not stick to the pan!

Heat a little butter (about 30 g) in a saucepan. Fry the bacon on it until crisp / slightly fry the ham. Make sure that the bacon does not burn and does not become stale.

Make pasta sauce. To do this, beat the eggs, add salt and pepper to taste, add about half the parmesan to the eggs and pour in the cream.

Combine the sauce with fried bacon / ham. Warm over low heat for several minutes until thickened.

Throw the prepared pasta into a colander, drain the water, sprinkle with olive oil.

There are two options for completing the paste preparation process:

- put the boiled pasta on a deep plate and pour the sauce;

- add the finished paste to the saucepan to the sauce, mix and put on plates.

After cooking, the paste should be a little firm, as if not completely cooked.

Italians cook this pasta completely without cream, simply adding a raw egg to the hot pasta laid on a plate.
