If you are looking for a simple option for lunch or dinner for the whole family, try to cook potatoes with meat in Georgian. Thanks to roasting and an abundance of spices, the meat is incredibly tasty, and the potatoes are very aromatic.

You will need

  • - potatoes - 1 kg;

  • - onions - 2 pcs.;

  • - garlic - 3 cloves;

  • - sunflower oil - 50 ml;

  • - ground dried coriander - 0.5 tsp;

  • - hops-suneli - 0.5 tsp;

  • - nutmeg - 0.5 tsp;

  • - red bell pepper - 0.5 tsp;

  • - red chili pepper - 1 pc. (optional);

  • - salt;

  • - Assorted fresh herbs to taste (for example, cilantro, parsley, dill, rosemary);

  • - deep frying pan.

Rinse the meat under running water, pat dry with paper towels and cut into small pieces. Then put them in a bowl, add ground coriander, suneli hops and sweet pepper.

Peel onions and garlic. Chop the onion in half rings and garlic in thin circles. Chili pepper cut into slices. After that, add all the chopped ingredients to the bowl to the meat and mix well. Then cover the cup with its contents with a lid or cling film and let it marinate for 2 hours.

When the time comes to an end, take a deep frying pan and heat it properly. Then pour in the sunflower oil, heat and lay the meat. Fry it at maximum temperature for 10 minutes until golden brown.

In the meantime, peel the potatoes and divide each tuber into 6-8 parts. Add the potatoes to the fried meat and fry for another 15 minutes, stirring. At the end, add salt to taste and nutmeg. Combine fresh greens in one bunch, bandaging it with a thread, and lay on top. After that, reduce the temperature to a low value, cover the pan with a lid and cook the dish for 40 minutes.

When the potato with meat in Georgian is ready, remove the pan from the stove. Leave the dish for 5-7 minutes to insist a little, and then arrange it in portions and serve.
