To prepare the vanilla grandmother, we need to stock up on the following foods and spices:
- 1 cup flour
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp sour cream,
- 8 eggs
- 2 gr. vanilla sugar
- 1 tbsp. powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp. a spoonful of butter, berries and fruits.
Prepare berries or fruits in advance for decoration. I wash my berries under running water and dry them, wash my fruits, clean them, if necessary, and cut them into pieces. Sift flour through a fine sieve. All sugar is mixed with vanilla sugar. We wash the eggs well, dry and break into a sugar mixture.
We make a steam bath, heat the mixture on it to 40-50 degrees and begin to whip. Remove from steam, cool to room temperature, without stopping whipping. Then add thick sour cream, stir, spread the flour and knead the dough. We take the corrugated form, grease it densely with cooked softened oil and sprinkle with flour.
We spread the finished dough into a mold and bake at a temperature of 180-200 degrees for 30-40 minutes. We take out the finished grandmother from the oven and leave it to cool. After the product has cooled, sprinkle it with icing sugar. Decorate with berries or fruit slices on top.
