You can not only cook fish, but also fry, steam and bake. Try baking mackerel with lemon, fresh herbs and cloves of garlic - it turns out very tasty and healthy, and if you add a little imagination to decorate the dish, then it can be served on the festive table.

You will need

  • - 2 mackerels,

  • - parsley or cilantro to taste,

  • - 6 peppercorns,

  • - 15 ml of lemon juice (freshly squeezed juice of half a lemon),

  • - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of odorless vegetable or sunflower oil,

  • - 2 cloves of garlic,

  • - sea salt to taste.

Cooking should begin with cleaning the fish. Rinse the mackerel well, remove the gills with scissors. Gently spread the abdomen on mackerel, remove all the insides, then rinse well again and leave aside to dry. If desired, fish can be dried with paper towels.

Cut one peeled garlic clove into slices (you can grate - to taste) and set aside. Put the second in a mortar, add peppercorns to it, a large pinch of salt and chop. Add lemon juice, two tablespoons of vegetable oil and mix. Grate the mackerel with the resulting marinade.

Cover the baking sheet with a large sheet of foil.

Rinse the parsley or cilantro, dry a little, chop and mix with the garlic plates. Stuff the mackerel with the resulting filling. Wrap the fish in foil and leave for 30 minutes.

After half an hour, preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Place the mackerel pan in the oven, bake the fish for 40 minutes. Then cool slightly and serve on the table as an independent dish, if you wish, you can add any side dish or light vegetable salad to the fish.
