There is no such person who does not like tender mashed potatoes with delicious gravy. Some prefer liquid gravy, some prefer thick gravy. All of them are delicious in their own way. There are a lot of ways to prepare gravy.

    • onions - 2 pcs;
    • tomato paste - 2 tbsp;
    • flour - 1 tbsp;
    • sunflower oil - 1 tbsp;
    • bay leaf - 1 pc;
    • water - 1.5 liters;
    • salt
    • pepper to taste.
    • For the second recipe:
    • flour - 2 tbsp;
    • carrots - 2 pcs;
    • onions - 2 pcs;
    • chicken fillet - 250 g;
    • champignons - 1 can of 400 g;
    • tomato paste - 1 tbsp;
    • sunflower oil - 2 tbsp;
    • butter - 50 g;
    • water - 1.5 l;
    • bay leaf - 1 pc;
    • salt
    • pepper to taste.

Recipe 1.

Wash the meat. Cut it into small pieces. Fry in a pan until golden brown. Strong overcooking is not worth it.

When a brown crust appears, add flour. Mix well. Keep on fire for 5 minutes so that the flour is also overcooked.

Put the fried meat in a pan where you will cook the gravy.

Wash and peel the carrots and onions. Grate the carrots on a fine grater, and cut the onions in half rings.

Pour sunflower oil into a pan, heat. Put the vegetables you cooked in the preheated dishes. Fry vegetables until cooked.

Add tomato paste to a pan with cooked vegetables. Mix well. Fry for 5 minutes until the mass is uniform in color.

Put the vegetable mixture in the pan where the meat is placed. Add bay leaf.

Mix everything. Add water. Put on fire and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat.

Salt and pepper to your taste. Cook for 15-20 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally.

Wash the carrots, peel and grate.

Peel and chop the onion into cubes.

Chicken fillet cut along the fibers into medium pieces.

Drain and dry the mushrooms on a napkin.

Fry mushrooms, carrots and onions in sunflower oil until cooked.

Heat a dry frying pan. Sift flour on it and, without ceasing to stir it, fry. Flour must change color; it must be uniform.

As soon as the flour is roasted, pour a glass of water into it with a thin stream. At the same time, it must be disturbed so that there are no lumps. Pour the resulting mixture into vegetables and mix.

Fry the chopped fillet in butter. Add the fried meat to a pan with vegetables. Add water, bay leaf, salt and pepper. Simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes. Gravy is ready.

Useful advice

If you want to make thick gravy, add more flour.
