Oatmeal biscuit is very easy to prepare (10 minutes to create the dough and 40 minutes of baking) and very tasty. Reminiscent of oatmeal cookies, but much more tender and aromatic.

Pick your recipe

You will need

  • Margarine or butter - 300 g

  • Egg - 3 pcs.

  • Sugar - 250 g

  • Flour - 250 g

  • Oatmeal - 250-300 g

  • Salt - 1 teaspoon

  • Soda - 0.5 teaspoon

  • Cocoa powder, honey, cinnamon, vanillin, ginger, raisins, sesame or any other additive to your taste

Instruction manual

1

To begin with, put in a container in which we will knead the dough, margarine or butter (it doesn’t affect the taste, it’s just personal preference), it’s better to put it in the refrigerator in advance to soften, the egg, sugar (the more sugar, the sweeter the cake, but its hardness is greater - I settled on the option of 250 g).

And mix everything thoroughly. It should look like this picture.

Next we add:

- salt

- soda (do not extinguish!), - cocoa powder (it gives the cake an amazing chocolate flavor, I don’t bake this cake for my family without cocoa, but if you don’t want it, you can not add it; I put about 2 tablespoons with a slide), - vanillin, cinnamon, ginger (these are also indispensable spices for our family in this cake; vanillin - 1 sachet, cinnamon, ginger - about half a teaspoon or less), - honey, raisins, any other additive (all to taste).

Mix everything again.

Now add the oatmeal itself. And mix again

The more of them, the less soft the cake will turn out. But even without them in any way. By trial and error, I settled on 250-300 g.

4

Add the flour, mix again. It turns out here is a still not very appetizing picture.

5

The dough is ready. Spread it on a baking sheet. Preferably on paper or in a silicone mold.

6

Put in a preheated oven.

Bake for 30-40 minutes at a temperature of 180-200 degrees.

As a result, it turns out such an already quite nice and very tender oatmeal biscuit.
