  • - vanilla sugar - 1 sachet;

  • - apricot jam - 2-3 tablespoons.

Finely chop the chilled butter with a knife. Optionally, use margarine. Add the following ingredients to the crushed butter: wheat flour, having previously sifted it, granulated sugar and raw chicken eggs. From the formed mass, preferably using a mixer, knead the dough. When it is ready, send it to cool in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

After removing the core from the apples and peeling them, pour them with a portion of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Then divide the fruit into 2 halves. Grind one of them into small pieces, and remove the second for a while to the side.

Transfer the chopped portion of apples to a clean, dry pan. Then add to them a bag of vanilla sugar, the remaining lemon juice, as well as granulated sugar and half a glass of water. Put the formed mass on the stove and simmer for 10-15 minutes, that is, until that time, until all the liquid has evaporated.

Dough, having placed in the form, the diameter of which is equal to 25 centimeters, distribute evenly on it.

With the remaining apples, do the following: cut each into 2 parts and gently chop into rather thin rings. Turn the resulting rings into halves.

Place the stewed apples in a pan on the pastry in the baking dish. Gently place apple slices on this mass. Lubricate the future cake with apricot cream and sprinkle it with granulated sugar or icing sugar.

Bake the dish in an oven heated to a temperature of 190 degrees for one and a half hours. Norwegian apple cake is ready!
